What each plan includes, clip limits, upgrades, downgrades and billing.
Swamp Dragon has four plans. Every plan includes the full recorder and editor; plans differ in how long each recording can be, the watermark, skills, Premiere export, MCP integration and plugins. AI usage is never billed by Swamp Dragon — if you connect an assistant over MCP, you use your own account with that provider.

#Clip limits
Limits apply to each recording, not to your account: you can make as many recordings as you like, each up to your plan's length. Every recording becomes its own project.
- 30 seconds before the limit, the recording bar shows a warning.
- At the limit, recording stops by itself and the file is saved. Nothing is lost.
- To record longer, stop and start a new recording, or upgrade.
#The Free plan watermark
Free exports show a small "Made with Swamp Dragon" badge in the bottom-right corner. It's added only at export — your projects don't contain it, so if you upgrade later you can re-export the same project without the watermark.
#Upgrading, downgrading and cancelling
- Upgrade any time. New features and limits apply immediately. You're charged the prorated difference for the rest of the billing period.
- Downgrade any time; the change takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Your projects stay exactly as they are. Features from the higher plan become unavailable (for example Premiere export), and skills from the higher plan can no longer be switched on — edits they already made remain in your projects.
- Cancel any time from the customer portal link in your receipt. You keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for, then return to Free. Your recordings and projects are never deleted — they live on your computer.

#FAQ
Do I need an AI subscription?
No. Recording, editing and exporting work fully offline without any AI. MCP is optional; if you use it, your assistant's provider bills you for that usage under their terms.
Can I try paid features before paying?
The Free plan includes the full editor, all motion graphics and effects, and every export format, so you can judge quality before upgrading.
What happens to my projects if I cancel?
Nothing. Projects are folders on your computer and keep working on the Free plan. You can still open and edit them; exports get the Free watermark and Free limits apply to new recordings.
Is the clip limit the length of my final video?
It's the maximum length of a single recording session. The edited video is usually a little shorter after cuts — or longer if you add freeze frames or slow clips down. Combining several recordings into one project isn't supported yet; record longer sections on a higher plan, or export each part.
Does Swamp Dragon charge for AI or MCP calls?
Never. MCP calls are handled on your computer; any AI costs are between you and the assistant you use.
#Selling on the market
Swamp Dragon is the merchant of record and collects all payments for every plugin and skill at Swamp Dragon’s checkout.
- Sellers may not integrate or link any payment gateway, checkout, donation or payment link, or take payment outside Swamp Dragon for a market listing.
- The creator share is 80% of the net sale price. Net earnings are the sale price minus the platform’s share, refunds and chargebacks in that period.
- Payouts are calculated per calendar month and transferred at the end of every month to the payout account the seller provided. Processing completes within the first few business days after month end. The minimum payout is US$25; smaller balances roll over to the next month.
- Refunds and chargebacks are deducted from the next payout. Swamp Dragon may hold payouts for suspected fraud or a breach of the guidelines.
- Sellers must provide accurate payout and identity details and keep them up to date. Swamp Dragon is not responsible for transfers to incorrect details supplied by a seller.
- Swamp Dragon collects and remits sales tax or VAT where required. Sellers are responsible for their own income taxes.
